Bonn, 06/10/23 – The G20 Global Land Initiative invites you to our sessions at the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Nairobi 2023 Hybrid Conference titled, A New Vision for Earth,  next week, Wednesday and Thursday, 10-11 October 2023.

The Conference will take place in a hybrid format, with in-person participation in Nairobi, Kenya.

We are not only one the conference sponsors, but we are also hosting a pavilion with many events, co-hosting a plenary event and organizing a digital exhibition with a wide range of resources, including publications and training offers.

Events will focus on youth and women in land restoration, including youth ecopreneurs and grassroots women, as well as the Land Restoration Challenge under the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.

All the G20 GLI events, except the youth consultation, will be livestreamed. The plenary session co-hosted with GLF in the conference hall will be livestreamed to their channels, while all sessions taking place at the G20 Pavilion will be livestreamed to the G20 YouTube Channel .

The mandate of G20 GLI is to enable the G20 countries to achieve their ambition to reduce land degradation by 50 per cent by 2040 while also helping non-G20 countries to reach their targets.
