Tontho Uganja is the Founder of Sustainable Farming Solutions (SFS). She has over a decade of experience building sustainable small-scale forestry models in farming landscapes, she has dedicated her career to empowering rural communities, particularly women, to restore landscapes for resilient livelihoods. Tontho holds an MSc in Tropical Forestry and is finalising a PhD focused on monitoring forest landscape restoration interventions for enhanced livelihoods through the prestigious Faculty of the Future fellowship for women in Science at Bangor University. Her leadership and commitment to sustainability have earned her numerous accolades, including AGRA’s value4her Rising Star Regional Award for Southern Africa 2024. Passionate about driving nature-positive solutions, Tontho is committed to balancing land restoration and economic growth, especially for small-scale women farmers.
