With over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry, including 20 in management positions, Mr. Shiko Kebonte is currently Head of Sustainability at Ivanhoe Mines Company KIPUSHI CORPORATION – KICO. Having previously held positions of responsibility as Operations Manager, General Manager and Managing Director for 8 years in the following companies: AngloGold Ashanti (Operations Manager), Teal Mining & Exploration-KALUMINES (Managing Director), Central African Mining RESOURCES sprl (Managing Director) and Bond Equipment (PTY) Ltd (General Manager), he has experience across multiple African jurisdictions, including: Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa. He has also acquired competence and experience in managing stakeholders (needs and expectations) in compliance with applicable legal & regulatory requirements taking into account the contexts of each geographical area involved.
