Nigeria based consultant and land management expert with over 37 years  work experience including several years of networking and collaboration within the UN System. Versed in the nexus of land degradation, compensation livelihoods, gender and land use. She is a Professor of Land Management and Valuation of the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria and has over 35 years of teaching and research experience in land appraisal, development and management related issues. Professor Kakulu is a Professional Estate Surveyor and Valuer, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Registered by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria. She possesses a PhD in Real Estate and Planning (Reading University, UK), an MSc in Urban Land Appraisal (Reading University, UK) and a B.Tech in Estate Management (Rivers State University, Nigeria).
