Meet Our Speakers

With over a decade of expertise in GIS and geospatial data, Erkan Güler specializes in data visualization and project monitoring systems, with a strong focus on natural resource management and land restoration. His background includes over five years in the private sector, working on international projects for organizations such as Shell Global, as well as approximately eight years of experience within governmental agencies. Academically, he holds a PhD in natural resource management and GIS, bringing a solid research foundation to his fieldwork.

Erkan has played a key role in numerous international projects, including contributions to the UNCCD Global Mechanism and the G20 Global Land Initiative, where he served as Chair of Annex IV in 2021. Fluent in English and German, he thrives in collaborative, multicultural environments and brings a dedicated approach to fostering sustainable development on a global scale.
