Daniel Pacurar, PhD, is a scipreneur with over 20 years of international work experience accumulated in R&D&I and consultancy positions, both in the public and private sector. He is the Founder & Executive Chairman of Boreal Orchards AB, and Co-founder & Chairman of NeXTree AB.

Boreal Orchards® AB is an eco-tech company developing concepts, technologies and solutions for plant cultivation and use in suboptimal environments. We are pioneering eco innovation with native moss. Through re:moss we approach nature restoration bottom-up, while accelerating natural restoration process.

Our innovative, adaptive and scalable solutions offers world unique capabilities to grow native moss species in bioreactors ex situ, and to use moss priming for restoring areas disturbed by human activities like industrial sites, post-mining landscapes, roads and infrastructure, for post-fire rehabilitation, or to slowdown and reverse desertification by facilitating biocrust restoration.

We address timely challenges in climate adaptation, urban greening, and ecosystem restoration.
