Abdulhadi Achakzai

Abdulhadi Achakzai

Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Environmental Protection Trainings and Development Organization (EPTDO)

As a climate change activist, advocate, and researcher, Abdulhadi Achakzai brings over 14 years of professional experience in program and project management. He has managed tens of climate change related projects with millions of dollars in funding from various donors.

He is a climate change negotiator and researcher with a solid background and currently serve as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Environmental Protection Trainings and Development Organization (EPTDO), a climate change-focused organization. Previously, he worked with national and international organizations, including the UN, NEPA, DABS, ICRC, USAID, GIZ-IS, UNDP, and others.

He possesses extensive knowledge of national and international policies and frameworks for socio-cultural and multi-sectoral project implementation in complex emergencies. He is an officially recognized observer delegate to the United Nations Climate Change International Conferences, having attended COP27, SBI 58, and COP28.
