Bonn, 30/09/2023 – The 15th Greenstorm Global Photography Festival received unprecedented interest from photographers worldwide, with submissions of stunning landscapes from across the globe. Thank you!
However, numerous requests to extend the deadline have also been received from photographers. In response, we are extending the submission deadline to 15 October 2023 to enable not only the largest number of photographers to join the festival.
We also want to enable photographers from every nation to participate and be part of the global campaign to awareness about the beauty of Planet Earth to inspire all nations to join the race to restore one billion hectares of degraded land back to health by 2030.
Greenstorm Photography Festival is a fusion of art and advocacy because photographs have the power to inspire and drive change. It is, at once, a celebration of photographic excellence and an initiative to promote land conservation.
The theme “Beautiful Landscapes” invites you to engage with the natural canvas to capture and share Earth’s diverse land tapestry.
This year’s Festival is a joint effort of Greenstorm Foundation and G20 Global Land Initiative Coordination Office of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (G20 GLI).
The competition offers one of the world’s largest prize awards of USD 10,000 for the individual winner of the competition as well as the largest prize pool of USD 30,000 for all categories.
An esteemed jury of renowned photographers Charlie Waite, Emily Garthwaite, Latika Nath and Len Metcalf will lead in evaluating the photographs submitted. But the final result will be determined through a public vote.
There are two main competition categories.
Category One is for photographs taken with a DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. Category Two is for shots taken on a mobile phone.
A special student category is designed to spotlight the next generation of visual storytellers.
Entry to the competition is free to ensure every photographer can have a chance at it.
