Senior Scientist, Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at the University of Bern

Ingrid Teich is a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at the University of Bern, where she leads WOCAT efforts in Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN). With extensive expertise in land restoration, ecosystem conservation, and the application of Earth Observation (EO) tools, she supports countries in making informed decisions to achieve LDN and biodiversity goals. Ingrid is a leader of GEO LDN and collaborates with international organizations, such as UNCCD, FAO and UNDP to align scientific data with policy frameworks, advancing sustainable land use practices across diverse regions.
