Akram Al Balkhi
Director of Land Management and Water Use, ASCAD
Dr. Akram Muhammad Al-Balkhi has a PhD in Soil Sciences 2006 from Damascus University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Sciences. He works as the Director of Land Management and Water Use at ACSAD 2024, and a Soil Fertility and Fertilization Expert at ACSAD 2020-2024, and a lecturer in the Department of Soil Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Damascus University for the following courses: Organic Agriculture, Fertilizers and Fertilization, Soil Salinity, Soil Conservation. He participated in many courses and conferences related to combating of desertification and climate changes, such as: combating of desertification and rehabilitating degraded lands, fertilizer integrated management in the Arab world, and the use of remote sensing techniques in assessing land degradation, as well as the project of optimal land uses in Sudan.
