After nearly a decade as a teacher at Green School Bali, a school focused on environmental education, Mauricio realized how difficult it was to come up with concrete and impactful solutions that could inspire individuals to care and take action.

For this reason, Mauricio started Junglo, an ecosystem restoration company with the mission to make environmental action accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Junglo uses the Miyawaki Method to help people plant native forests in schools, homes and offices.

Mauricio is passionate about designing new models of education that focus on curiosity, play and a love for nature. This has led him to recently launch a programme to bring forests into Bali schools. The goal is to use forests as a vehicle to re-connect students to nature and support them in defining a future that is in harmony with the planet.
