Sandhya Balasubrahmanyam is a Learning Portfolio Manager with the UNSSC Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development and leads the portfolio of learning offerings in the areas of Climate, Environment and Economics. She is passionate about learning for sustainable development and her focus areas include catalysing finance for Sustainable Development, the circular economy, sustainable economic growth, climate , the environment and the triple planetary crisis. Sandhya combines the substantive experience of a decade in academia and development consulting with a decade in the corporate sector, in various roles in consumer product sales, marketing and market research with Unilever PLC. Her experiences include working on Digital Policy Advocacy in India and developing strategic partnerships for sustainable development in the Education sector. She holds a PhD in Development Economics from SOAS, University of London and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, India.
