Meet Our Speakers

Adrian is a professionally registered restoration ecologist with 20 years’ experience in the field. He has been involved in mine rehabilitation and closure projects since 2004. He has worked as a consultant, project manager, contractor and academic across Africa, with some projects in Australia as well. His fields of specialisation relate to strategic rehabilitation and closure planning, mine residue rehabilitation and closure, biodiversity management, rehabilitation monitoring, post-closure land-use, integrated water management, soil conservation, and air quality. He has worked for universities, conservation organisations, mining services companies, and has now been with Agreenco Environmental since 2010 and serves as Director to the company. He is a founding member of the Society for Ecological Restoration’s Africa Chapter and a Past-President and current Director of the Land Rehabilitation Society of Southern Africa. He holds a M.Sc (cum laude) degree in ecosystem restoration and sustainable utilisation from NWU.
