Meet Our Speakers

Mr. Allen Ottaro is the Founder and Executive Director of the Catholic Youth Network for Environmental Sustainability in Africa (CYNESA), based in Nairobi, Kenya and which currently has chapters in 10 African countries. Mr. Ottaro is also a member of the Global Membership Council, of the Laudato Si’ Movement. Passionate about bridging the gap between policy and practice, Mr.Ottaro has also mentored younger colleagues from different African countries where his organization has chapters, enabling them to effectively understand and participate in environmental policy processes and programs. Mr.Ottaro is passionate about engaging young people and faith communities in promoting environmental sustainability, with a strong social justice perspective.
