Brinda Dewan

Senior Nature Interpreter, Wildlife Conservation Nepal

Brinda Dewan is a Senior Nature Interpreter at Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN) with over 15 years of experience in environmental education. She works with a specialized team with an expertise in interactive environmental education to design and implement programs in Kathmandu and across rural and semi-urban areas of Nepal, integrating sustainable gardening practices and biodiversity conservation into school curriculums.

In her role at WCN, Ms. Dewan trains teachers and engages local communities to create eco-friendly learning spaces. Her expertise in interactive pedagogy and nature interpretation has transformed schools into green learning environments, fostering environmental stewardship and hands-on learning. Her efforts have empowered students and communities to embrace sustainability and climate resilience.

Ms. Dewan holds dual Master’s degrees in Botany from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota, U.S. She is also a Fellow of the U.S. State Department’s “Community Solutions Program.”
