Meet Our Speakers

Maria is from Siegburg, Germany and graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development. She also has a background in media and business psychology. Prior to her current role, she was an intern at the G20 Global Land Initiative and the German Corporation for International Cooperation, where she gained experience in land restoration and international development work. Since then, she has worked in different organisations, such as the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Cameroon Association of Active Youths, collecting various types of data and conducting relevant research. Maria’s interests lie in research on enhancing climate action to make the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals more feasible.
