“Thank you very much for the very informative session.”
Artificial intelligence tools are rapidly changing the way we interact with and utilize information. And now, two emerging groundbreaking tools, ChatGPT and BARD, are poised to revolutionize the game even further. On April 6, 2023, the Global Land Initiative Coordination Office hosted a Brown Bag Lunch (BBL) on the ways these tools may alter our productivity and the way we work.
Mr. Sunil Prabhakar, an electronics engineer with expertise in digital technologies and the keynote speaker, discussed the power of ChatGPT. He said the tool can help users to summarize articles, rewrite text and create engaging headlines. But he warned that ChatGPT’s output may not always be accurate, so users should exercise discretion and review its outputs.
Mr. Prabhakar stressed that creating a well-crafted prompt is especially important when initiating a conversation with ChatGPT. In a live demonstration, he showed how to use prompts to generate effective responses. He also presented other interesting applications that the tool can generate, including PowerPoint presentations derived from written text.
Nearly 500 participants from 73 countries worldwide registered for the event. Approximately 215 participants joined the event online and close to 40 attended in-person. Germany, India, United States, Rwanda and United Arab Emirates respectively topped the list of countries with the highest number of attendees.
