Wetlands are disappearing fast, it’s time to act

23 January 2022 – Wetlands one of our most threatened ecosystems. The G20 Global Land Initiative Coordination Office will hold a global webinar titled, It’s time for wetlands restoration, on Tuesday, 2 February 2023, to share success stories of wetlands restoration, drawing on examples from around the world. Register now for the webinar.

Wetlands provide goods and services, such as food security and protection against water-related disasters, such as droughts and floods. This year’s celebration of World Wetlands Day highlights the urgent need to prioritize wetland restoration.

The webinar is organized in partnership with the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, United Nations (UN) Decade for Ecosystem Restoration, UN Environment Programme, among others.
