In March 2024, the UNCCD/G20 Global Land Initiative (G20 GLI), in collaboration with top universities and experts, including TH Köln and the Centers for Natural Resources and Development (CNRD) network, launched a global course titled “Trigger Change! Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture for Land Restoration” This course aims to inspire innovative practices for sustainable land use and rehabilitation.
The next step is the organization of five virtual Training of Instructors (ToI) workshops, led by TH Köln and its partner universities across various regions: Africa, Southeast Asia, the Arab States, Europe, and Latin America. These workshops are designed to equip educators with the skills and resources necessary to embed the “Trigger Change” course within their academic offerings.
The ToI workshop will be led by Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) in partnership with TH Köln (Germany) and is now open for applications from participants in Southeast Asia Region and its surrounding countries. The workshop is scheduled to take place on 25, 26, 28, and 29 of November 2024 (4 days). Course materials available at https://g20land.org/trigger-change/.
This program is ideal for university educators, researchers, professionals in the fields of agriculture and land management, and those working in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or the private sector within Southeast Asia region and its surrounding countries.
The training will be delivered online over four consecutive days, beginning at 13.30 Western Indonesian Time (GMT+7). Each day will consist of 2-3 hours live sessions, supplemented by group projects. The training will be led by seasoned academics and experts who contributed to the course’s development.
Certificates will be delivered after completion of group/individual assignments and attendance in all half day
sessions. Participants are welcome to join only one of the days but will not receive the certificate.

All sessions will be conducted in English.
