In March 2024, the UNCCD / G20 Global Land Initiative (G20 GLI) launched the global University course: »Trigger Change! Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture for Land Restoration« in partnership with universities and experts in the field, including TH Köln and the Centers for Natural Resources and Development (CNRD) network. The course focuses on innovative solutions for sustainable land management and restoration.
The next step is to organize five on-line Training of Instructors (ToI) workshops led by TH Köln and its CNRD partner Universities in Africa, South East Asia, Arabic States, Europe, and Latin America region. The objective is to equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to integrate the »Trigger Change« course into their curricula.
TH Köln and its Partner University in Jorden – the German Jordenian University (GJU), Germany is now inviting potential participants from the Arab and the Middle East Regions to join the ToI to take place between 03 February 2024 to 06 February 2025.
University lecturers, researchers, agriculture and land management professionals, NGO and private sector professionals
and enthusiasts from the Arab and the Middle East regions are encouraged to apply.
The webinar style online training programme will be hosted over the course of 4 consecutive days starting at 9AM GMT, with 3 half day (2,5 hours) on-line sessions, alternating with group and / or individual assignments depending on the number of registrants. Experienced professionals, researchers, and academics who were part of the course development process will conduct the training.
Certificates will be delivered after completion of group / individual assignments and attendance in all half day sessions.
Participants are welcome to join only one of the days but will not receive the certificate.
