The training workshop titled “Assessing Land Degradation Dynamics and Restoration Efforts with Remote Sensing Data and GIS Tools” successfully concluded after a hands- on five-day session. The training session was organized in Dehradun, India by the G20 Global Land Initiative Coordination Office (G20 ICO) of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Land Management (COE-SLM) at the Indian Council for Forest Research and Education (ICFRE). The training invited 18 global participants to provide a comprehensive understanding and practical exposure to geospatial technology applications for land resource mapping and monitoring, focusing on combating land degradation and desertification.
