Brazil holds a promising landscape for expanding forest restoration efforts. Restoring 12 million hectares of degraded land is one of the country’s commitments under the climate change Convention. Leveraging Brazil’s upcoming presidency of the G20 and India’s recent presidency, both globally relevant in the field of forests and biodiversity, the panel will also discuss how the G20 Land Initiative can drive restoration efforts in the country.
