The FAO’s Dryland summer school will explore transformative approaches to building climate resilient dryland systems. This second edition is focused on monitoring drylands and agrosilvopastoral systems towards climate change and sustainability. Participants will graduate the course as experts on integrating transformational socio-economic and sustainable practices in drylands agrosilvopastoral management!


FURTHER INFORMATION
  • The summer school will take place in the CIFOR-ICRAF Campus in Nairobi (Kenya)
  • This edition is funded by UNCCD’s G20 Global Land Initiative and held in partnership with different institutions and international organizations
  • There is no cost for the summer school itself, but participants will be expected to cover their flights and lodging in Kenya for the duration of the course
  • Participants should have prior experience in dryland management and should complete FAO’s e-Learning course on dryland forests and agrosilvopastoral systems before the Summer School begins
  • Also, we will ask each participant to bring one case study on drylands agrosilvopastoral management to work on it during the school
