Once the stage program concluded, attendees went to the OMG Lab, which was then inaugurated by its founders, most of whom are engineers turned entrepreneurs, and whom were warmly cheered by the guests.
On entry into the lab, attendees were greeted by the refreshing aroma of greens and the gentle hum of hydroponics, with LED lights casting a nurturing glow over the microgreens. Enthusiastic students explained the growth process, answered questions and clarified queries. Attendees were invited to taste the microgreens and even plant their own using cotton peat, seeds and water spray.
This experience sparked inspiration in everyone present, illustrating the boundless potential for youth to drive change and deepen knowledge in agriculture. The OMG Lab stands not merely as a space for growing plants but as a vibrant hub of innovation and collaboration, encouraging students to reflect on their role in shaping the world.
This initiative illustrates beautifully how education can intertwine with real-world challenges, nurturing a new generation of environmentally conscious leaders. Together, they will sow not only microgreens but also the seeds of change, ensuring a sustainable and fruitful future for all.
