World Sustainable Development Summit 2026

Start date: Wednesday, 25 February 2026
End date: Friday, 27 February 2026
Location: Taj Palace, New Delhi, India

The world is off track. According to the first Global Stocktake, achieving the ambitious temperature goals requires a 43 per cent reduction in emissions by 2030, while the implementation of current nationally determined contributions will result in only a 2 per cent reduction. In the mid-point review of the Sustainable Development Goals, of the 169 targets, only 13% are on track, while 18% are not even being tracked. These figures highlight gaps not only in implementation but also in the data needed to inform progress.

The challenges confronting the world today are deeply interconnected, requiring long-term vision, diverse perspectives, and value-driven approaches to drive the transformations essential for sustainable development and climate action.
